As a special school serving students who are blind or visually impaired, LSVI provides a variety of support services, including the following:
- Statewide Assessment Center which performs student evaluations
- Student Health Center, open 24/7 when students are on campus
- Transportation services
- Occupational Therapy
- Orientation & Mobility Training
- Physical Therapy
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Adaptive Physical Education
- Braille training
These and the other services and supports offered by LSVI are truly important. But perhaps the best support for LSVI students comes as a result of their being in an environment where they are understood, valued, respected and encouraged.
