The Parent Pupil Education Program (PPEP) serves Deaf and hard-of-hearing children from birth to age 5 throughout the state of Louisiana, as well as their families. Children are served from birth to 3, guaranteed. Children older than 3 and up to age 5 are served if they are not enrolled and being served by a school setting; they can receive support while transitioning into school, and then exit our program.

PPEP is a no-cost program that offers family education and support regarding a given child’s: language development, communication opportunities, amplification devices, services in the region, and transition into school. Our services are family-centered and take advantage of the child’s earliest years in order to ensure optimal language development, the key to their success in the future.

Our staff members all have advanced degrees and training in Deaf Education; all are certified in Deaf Education, have worked in various Deaf Education settings, and can sign. Your children are in great hands!
