The goal of residential living is to provide a safe and caring environment where students can live and learn. This setting allows students and transition residents to be immersed in culture and social interaction while gaining tools and knowledge for their independence.
Louisiana Schools for the Deaf and the Visually Impaired
Students are housed in dormitories on campus and are supervised by supportive staff. Each residential student is required to have self-care skills (or the ability to develop them) and social skills to share a room with other students. All students are required to follow established dormitory rules. Residential living is a privilege and is available for students who qualify.
