LSD Students preparing for yesterday's eclipse.
We couldn’t see much with the cloudy Louisiana sky, but we had lots of fun in our small groups learning about eclipses and eating eclipse-themed snacks! Our students who had permission got eclipse glasses and got to go outside to view it.
Since we didn’t have much luck seeing this phenomenon, we decided to go inside and check it out virtually!

New device allows blind, visually impaired community to experience eclipse through sound. Check out the article on WBRZ's website.

"Although the cloud cover presented a challenge for most of the capital area to even view the historic event, students still sat in awe as they noted the changes in the sounds coming from the speakers connected to the device. It is surely something they will never forget." Falon Brown, WBRZ
